Turn To The Wellness Institute of Montana in Missoula

The Wellness Institute of Montana, a partnership for mind and body wellness, was started by Kay Jennings, BSN, MHSA, PMHNP-BC, DPSc, and combines four thriving businesses into one full-service organization to better serve the community. Included in this new hybrid are Aleph pc, New Health, Winds of Change Mental Health Center, and Frontier Assisted Living Community. The first of these businesses was founded in 1999.

What Sets Us Apart

“Leading the way to optimal mind and body wellness through the empowerment of people” is the foundation and mission of The Wellness Institute of Montana. We are leading the way in personalized wellness and mental health treatment in Montana. Our integrative approach is evidence-based and is continuously refined through continuing education.

Mental Health Recovery Services

Winds of Change Mental Health Center was founded in 2006 with just two employees. Today, we have more than 70 on our staff and are pleased to serve more than 350 clients each year in the Missoula area with Case Management, Community-Based Psychiatric Rehab and Support, Wellness Programs with personal wellness coaches, daily access to the Recovery Mall groups, and group home living.

Clinical & Psychiatric Services

Our clinical practice of dedicated professionals will assist you to develop an action plan that works for you, providing you with the personalized services that meet your unique needs. Aleph provides Assessment/Diagnosis, Treatment, Medication Management, Psychiatric Prescribing, and Therapy for all types of mental health issues. Functional approach to psychiatry is also offered.

Aleph was the first clinic to provide depression treatment with FDA-approved Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy in Montana.

Lifestyle & Functional Medicine

New Health offers a functional approach to wellness and lifestyle planning. New Health focuses on overall health and offers meal planning, weight management, hormone, thyroid, and food sensitivities evaluations as part of the integrative and functional approach to creating optimal health.

New Health is also embarking on development of nutraceutical supplements, and recently introduced “New Sleep”, an all-natural sleep aid, currently available for retail sale at the Wellness Institute of Montana’s offices or online at www.ShopNewHealth.myshopify.com.

"Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. It is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.

"Functional medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual."

Supported Living Programs

Supported Living in Missoula was created to better support the needs of those living in Hawthorne House at the time. The concept of recovery was and is so powerful that the House was transformed into an adult group home, now known as J's Place, and we have since added more services and group homes.

Today, Winds of Change operates five group homes: J's Place, La Casa, Casa Dos, Casa Tres, and Casa Cuatro.

Frontier Assisted Living Community has been providing Assisted Living Care for more than 40 years in the Livingston area and offers assisted living and secure memory care to adults of any age. If you or a loved one are interested in our comprehensive services, call 406-222-6102.
